In web design, using sliding horizontal panels known as carousels and sliders to feature top content has become one of the strongest web design trends over the last couple of years. It is a very effective method to increase website usability. It also helps to engage the user more effectively. The reason for this trend is mainly due to the arrival of jQuery carousel plugins.

jQuery carousel plugins allow visitors visible access to several content items easily. Items such as HTML content, images, videos, etc. can be scrolled back and forth with or without animated transitions.
