Creating a simple and elegant portfolio that transforms visitors into clients is not as simple as you might think.
This is relevant even when we’re talking about the portfolio of a UI or UX designer. Just a dribbble account doesn’t sell it. You need to make the visitor’s experience unique and showcase your skills in an original way.
There’s something that people have mentioned a lot online when discussing about ways to transmit a powerful message and that is by creating a great visual story.
This doesn’t mean that you can bore the prospective client. You should create a visual story, but try to keep it short; the people that are interested in your services might want to find out quick what you can do.
The visual story that you will focus on will most likely be different from one project to another, depending on what you actually worked on that project. But what you must never forget is that the thing the visitors must learn from that case study is that you can solve problems that you clients have.
Besides creating a visual story through a case study, you should also tell people your strengths and show people that you are an interesting figure. Nobody wants to work with boring people so add a bit of your character in the site’s copy.
