It seems Adobe is in the market to compete with the fast up-and-comer Sketch for Mac OS X users. With Adobe CC requiring a monthly subscription it seems many designers are either sticking with CS6 or looking elsewhere.
Adobe’s creative team are looking to solve this problem with a new application codenamed Project Comet. It seems to be a full prototying & wireframing tool for UI/UX designers – almost like a replacement for the now-defunct Adobe Fireworks.
So far Comet is planned for a beta release on iOS and Mac OS X. There are plans for a full Windows release but it seems this may not be for a while on down the road.
While Comet doesn’t have a specific release date, you can sign up to be notified if all new info.
You can watch a preview video released by Adobe that covers the basics of Project Comet.
