New Git GUI Client open for Beta Invites

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

The learning curve of Git version control can seem tremendous for young developers.

Not only do you have to memorize all the various Git terms & methods, you also need to enter them manually via terminal. While terminal/shell coding used to be almost a prerequesite decades ago, it’s now possible to build websites with minimum knowledge of shell commands.

Thankfully there’s an upcoming program named GitKraken that promises to offer a pure GUI for managing Git repos.

At the moment it’s currently in private beta testing with open signups for invitations. Simply visit the website and enter your e-mail address for a chance to beta test GitKraken.

It seems the software will operate on all systems from Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.

While I’m sure many Git users will prefer to stay in the command line, GitKraken may offer an alternative to those who like the idea of a graphical interface.

Those who might be interested to beta test should visit the site and sign up today. You can also stay up-to-date by reading the official Facebook page or following the Twitter account @GitKraken.
