Responsive web design has taken the world by surprise when it was first introduced. However, by now, almost every web designer is accustomed with it thanks to the many resources that other fellow designers have shared in the community, whether those resources were frameworks, snippets or even tutorials.

There were also tools to test whether a website is responsive or not and those were very helpful too. I should know. They saved me a lot of trouble when I was designing some websites.

All this rise in popularity was caused by the fact that user experience became an issue since mobile devices appeared and responsive web design delivered and still delivers a great user experience. Web designers and especially clients loved that.
