Kinetic typography, literally meaning moving text, is a motion graphics technique that manipulates the text and displays it dynamically on the screen in such a way to express an idea or emotion.
The first time I wanted to do this article there were only 10 or 15 kinetic typography examples from which to choose from. It was quite new among designers and not that popular. However, having past some time since then, a lot of things have changed.
For starters, there was a boom in kinetic typography tutorials especially for After Effects which made things easier for people who wanted to create this interesting type of motion graphics videos. And as always, it is enough to teach a few people something and they’ll take it to the next level, making beautiful things that you couldn’t even imagine before.
The results of this learning process can be seen in this article where there are some of the best kinetic typography examples that you can find. There are only 51 videos in here and I’m saying only 51 because I had to choose from over 200 of them.
