Design your way

Wake, the popular design tool used by Facebook, Airbnb, Spotify, Microsoft, IBM and more, is now available for free.

The lightweight design collaboration tool makes it easy for designers to share work and collect feedback from their team.

For the past two years Wake has been focused on solving design collaboration and communication for some of the world’s best design teams.

Now, Wake has opened up the product to everyone who wants to adopt a more open and transparent design process.

“Transparency throughout the design and decision making process enables teams to build better products”, said Chris Kalani, CEO of Wake.

“Through an open design process, designers are able to learn from each other and refine ideas, while developers and project managers stay in the loop and provide valuable expertise.”

This free version of Wake will allow individual designers, startups, and other small teams a chance to create a culture of openness early on.

The free plan includes up to two designers and unlimited spectators which can include product managers, developers, clients, and more.

“Wake allows us to collaborate in real time and is a really great way for leadership on the team to stay up-to-date with what everybody is working on.” – Stewart Scott-Curran, Director of Brand Design at Intercom

Keep a pulse on what your colleagues are creating and share sketches, screenshots, or other assets with team members or clients and get feedback on the spot.

If you have designs in your notebook or on your whiteboard you want to publish, Wake’s iOS app lets you snap a photo and send it off in seconds. The app allows you to stay up-to-date on project happenings and provide quick feedback from anywhere.

This ability to share work without interrupting workflow makes the entire design process seamless for your team, even those outside of design. With Wake, work can be shared publicly, so everyone knows what everyone is working on; or shared privately with selected individuals or stakeholders.
