I have always been fascinated by minimalist icons and their use inside a website. When I started to be a designer, I thought highly detailed icons were the ultimate thing, the most awesome types of icons that there could be in the design world. After designing a few of my first websites I learned that those are just pretty things and not quite usable ones. They can be used in an application and they would fit very well, but on a website minimalist icons or ones that are as little as possible are the best solution, due to loading time problem and the fact that you want a visitor paying attention to the content and not the icons.
I hope that you are sharing with me the same opinion I’m having right now, that minimalist icons or really small and simple are the ones that you should be using in your web design layouts. In this article you fill see 37 icon packs or icon sets, however you want to call them, that are impressive in their nature. Some can be downloaded so check them out individually to be inspired or to get the resource.
