Employers usually have to pick the right candidate out of a handful of resumes and it is really difficult to choose between the ones who apply for a job, mostly because all the resumes look the same, in content and design. What almost every employer in the design business is looking for is a creative person which has a rich imagination.
One way to attract an employer’s attention is to make a creative curriculum vitae that would also showcase your design skills. For a graphic designers this seems easier and there are lots of examples of graphic designers resumes that are really impressive.
What I want to showcase in this article is interesting resumes made for web designers, usually by themselves, otherwise the whole idea of showcasing your skills is not present. Although some of these were made as templates to be sold, I advise against this if you are a web designer. You will not convince an employer to hire you if you are using a template instead of creating your own design.
