Vector scenes, unlike regular vector illustrations, are complex and involve a lot more elements which have to be combined in such an elegant way that the final result would be something that we could call vector painting. The term is rather conceptual because the only thing that relates to an actual painting is the creation of a landscape, an instant from a room, place etc.
If you are a vector artist who is lacking ideas on what kind of project should approach next, I suggest you try your best at doing a vector scene. These vectors have a better luck of being sold as posters or “paintings” due to the fact that a lot of people are looking for vector illustrations to decorate their rooms or office.
These are our generation’s paintings, the same way that illustrations made with oil on canvas were the previous generation’s paintings. We’re moving towards a minimalist future starting with minimalist rooms, minimalist gadgets and ending with minimalist color palettes.
