Is someone on this planet not negatively affected by the global crisis? Does this seem to be something normal and common? I am not sure, maybe there are very few that benefit from this but the huge majority of people were handicapped by crisis. Unfortunately, many individuals lost their jobs and didn’t manage to find another one. The unemployment rate is very high on every continent and clearly we don’t have to be Nouriel Roubini to understand that the end of the crisis is still a long way from us.

But there isn’t only bad news; you may use this context for your advantage. Once the specialists signaled the first signs of the crisis, the freelancing activities simply exploded. Yep, because the freelancers don’t pay rent for their offices and don’t waste time to commute to their jobs, their costs are lower and clearly, the clients are very interested in these opportunities. In conclusion, being freelancer is trendy and you shouldn’t be surprised that some of them get a serious income from these activities.

In order to help everyone interested in freelancing, I added here a list of 25 very useful design job boards. The great advantage of this list is that it covers all aspects: you will find here freelance jobs, project based ones or even full time positions. Also, don’t worry if you are a designer or developer, there are jobs for any type of activity: designer, developer, apps creators, content writers, marketing specialists or SEO experts.

In conclusion, don’t waste your time and start bidding on projects suitable for your skills. And don’t forget: be honest, patient and smart…it is my conclusion after few years of freelancing.
